Since my last post a few readers have asked me what I’m doing next. I didn’t mean to leave you hanging but as I’ve said before and I’ll say again, blogging is a lot of work. In addition to making healthy food choices, one of my new year resolutions is to blog more. How am I going to magically start blogging more? One approach that worked well in losing weight and exercising more last year was taking small steps. I found that I didn’t have to have a hard core workout every day or cut out all fatty foods to make a difference. Instead I just worked out whenever I could for as long as possible without killing myself. I’m going to try to do the same with blogging. With the exception of the occasional rant, I’m not going treat every blog post like it’s my last but will try to post a little something when I can. (Note: I definitely reread this post way too many times). Now that I’ve sufficiently skirted the underlying question, not only will I be blogging more frequently but I’ll be blogging more about “politechs.”

I hope to have a lot more to write about because I’m bringing my love for politics and technology back together in forming Local Politechs Strategies to do consulting for political and issue campaigns. While I never really left the political world in my personal life, last year was a bit of a departure from working professionally in politics. As anyone who has ever worked in politics knows, once you have the itch it never really goes away. So if you know a candidate or an issue campaign that needs some digital advice you know who to call! (or email)

I’ll continue to blog about what Facebook calls “Life Events,” but if I stick to the game plan you’ll be seeing more cross posts from the Local Politechs blog. If you’re into pop culture there’s always Ike’s Likes & Dislikes. Whatever the reason, thanks for following my blogs. I hope you’ll keep reading.
